Strong Authentication on the desktop
Strong authentication on the desktop will put you in the ideal position to move froward to Single Sign On. If you want to make sure that the access to your network, applications and data is secure, then go for Desktop Strong Authentication.
This approach will give you a number of advantages such as: less support for password reset, ready to deploy Sign Sign On, increased productivity, and of course enhanced security.
FISid approach is very simple :
- A GINA/CP agent is deployed to replace the standard Windows Logon
- Desktop strong authentication is enabled with the possibility to use various types of authentication, such as One Time Password, Fingerprint, RFID, PKI, Match on Card, etc.
Once such a solution is in place, it will automatically change the password of the user in the domain, so that he will no longer have to change and/or to remember it.
